Were they overlapping horizontally or vertically? Or, I guess, both? [img]smile.gif[/img]

In most fonts, W and M and some other types have greater width, and those types overlap horizontally. I cannot remember if there were vertically overlapping types...
![]() Perhaps you could create a TT font of your own which is Courier-like, so that all types have the same width? Concerning the other problem: I'm rather sure that the font type cannot be changed during gameplay. Only colour, highlighting and so on... (What you certainly already knew [img]smile.gif[/img] .) I have done some small pictures with parchments or a hand holding a piece of paper. So if a parchment is found and used by the party, a text message occurs with: "^1 reads: balablabla..." and simultanously, one of those pictures is shown. Perhaps you could use/create a font type in which upper case and lower case look totally different? You could then use upper case for normal text and lower case for special text...
