Errrm...

Ian Mckellen IS Dumbledore in Harry Potter.

Richard Harris originally played Dumbledore, but then he passed away. He only did the first two films.

Ian McKellen took over, and IIRC did the 3rd and 4th movie.

So dunno what your on about...

Maybe you should check the credits again, Richard Harris was Dumbledor for the first two Harry Potter movies then passed away, now Dumbledor is played by Michael Gambon, a British actor who I also remember being in Life Aquatic with Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.
You should know this being from England and all, and shake the tail when you walk your better than that.

I know, shame on ya! Ian as dumbledore hmmph! I remember that english actor from a few movies back in the day.

Richard Harris was an amazing dumbldore. He was so old and wizened but I mean, it really worked and I really liked the character. When the new guy took over, suddenly dumbledore was the bounciest old man I ever saw, he was doing funny twirls and stuff in the movie.
