Oh, he's good on some things, Memnoch. He's real good with phrases that put you in the world like "make water," and discussing threshes on the floor, etc. But I bet you recall my comment the next time you read his descriptions of someone entering a room.

Okay, still haven't read the above posts, because I'm only half way through.
But, thus far it's the worst of his books I've read. I feel I read 400 pages for nothing -- the plot thus far could have been condensed into 20 pages of worthwhile story. I had begun to like some characters, and now I just want them all dead. And, rumor has it my favorite Onion Knight is dead. The most worthwhile plot thing, and I'm told it in a byline. Arrya, Brienne, Slayer -- please just kill them all and put them out of my misery. The only bright spot is that I still think Cersei is a bitch with a capital C. |

Just something I noted while rereading;
"Ser Criston Cole. Criston the kingmaker had set brother against sister and divided the Kingsguard against itself, bringing on the terrible war the singers named The Dance of the Dragons." He did this by refusing to have a woman as ruler and instead crowned her younger brother, foresight into the happenings in the next book between Marcelle in Dorne and Tommen?

Well, according to the Maegi's prophecy Cersei needs to see Myrcella and Tommen die before she herself loses her life...

Myrcella is close to death already and Tommen is in an extremely vulnerable position, although he'll probably be much safer with Kevan as Hand. And does anyone else think that Qyburn telling Cersei that grand Maester Pycelle and Lord Swift having taken to ruling the realm while she is locked away is the most hillarious moment in the book?

I wonder why I never posted in this thread. Well I just saw the book laying around and it made me remember it.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but feel sorry for Cercei at the end. Quote:
Or maybe WAIT and then I'll do it! Or maybe she just cursed. I know I would.
