Cool, my topic resurrected! Thanks Groj! Glad you liked Chronicle. Amazing how Marquez tells you in the first line that his protagonist is going to die, and yet manages to keep the tension and disbelief constant throughtout the novella. I think it's an astounding piece of work, like all his books that I've read so far.
Anyway, I'll do a list update as well, though I wouldn't be able to list all the books I've read in the in-between months, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to remember all movies, and certainly not in the correct order. I know the music part though, just back-skipping through Winamp (I've ripped most of my favourite CDs to MP3 ). Oh well, here goes. BOOKS 1. Hermann Hesse - Demian 2. Italo Calvino - Short stories 3. Friedrich Nietzsche - Also Sprach Zarathustra 4. A. F. Th. van der Heijden - De Sandwich 5. A. F. Th. van der Heijden - Asbestemming 6. A. F. Th. van der Heijden - De Gevarendriehoek 7. A. F. Th. van der Heijden - Onder Het Plaveisel Het Moeras 8. Will Self - Grey Area 9. Brian Friel - Translations 10. Thomas Rosenboom - Spitzen MOVIES 1. The Life of David Gale 2. Ali G in da House 3. Finding Nemo 4. Lord Of The Rings - The Return of the King 5. About Schmidt 6. Passolini's Gospel According to St. Matthew 7. Jude 8. Donnie Darko 9. Fargo 10. I'll have to think about that last one... no freaking clue! MUSIC 1. Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Blaise Bailey Finnegan III 2. Elvis Costello - I Want You 3. Placebo - Pure Morning 4. Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You 5.
