Village People's Macho Man, of course! (It's an 'in' joke between me and Dramnek.)

More seriously, Kitaro's Silk Road albums contain some truly excellent music, as do some albums by Cusco, such as Apurimac II: Return to Ancient America.

And if you allow for classical music and even Oriental music, I absolutely love Debussy and Ravel and much of Vaughan Williams, too. And pipa and guzheng solos.

The music from Requiem for a Dream... I have to get that CD.
Across the Stars, the lovescene score from Edisode 2... wow, John Williams is a genius.

Winners by Deadsy
Konstantine by Something Corporate
The Great Unknown by Dar Williams (and any of her albums, she has stunning vocals and awesome lyrics. She's a folk singer/songwriter)

Anything Tool. Especially they're new album Lateralus. A Perfect Circle is also incredibly deep. Oasis and Radiohead are great for just kickin back and relaxing because of their vibes.

Tool is great too, but lets not make this a fav band post. I think Radiohead is the Pink Floyd of our generation too, but hey, thats just me. My generation being the 12 year olds.

"Miss You Love" by Silverchair, "#41" by DMB, "All You Wanted" by Michelle Branch... mostly modern time music... I should have started a long time ago... dang... oh... "747" by Kent is what is rocking my world as of the moment... not-so-new song.

EDIT: I forgot to say the themes of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Gladiator"

The first (and only?) album that rocked my world was the Dead Kennedy's "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death" which I received as a Xmas gift from my too cool aunt when I was 16. That was my first real exposure to punk rock. Since then my tastes have changed quite a bit (although I still like punk). Among my favorite albums I would list
They Might Be Giants - Flood and Apollo 18
Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty
Pixies - Doolittle
Bob Marley - Natural Mystic
Too Much Joy - Cereal Killers

The album SLIPKNOT by SLIPKNOT!!!
It goes right through your stomach, beats you down and tramples on your innards . I never heard music that pushes forward more continuously.
