There can be no doubt in my mind ... BG2 is the greatest game ever made.
Its sheer scope, replayability and awesome, awesome story is unequeled in any genre. The second time I played it, it must have taken me something like 500 hours to finish (with ToB). It has so much intrigue. Afterwards I kept wishing it would go on forever, looking at different areas of the game, wishing they would expand them. I received my copy of NWN on Saturday, the jury is still out, but one thing is sure....everywhere I read they tell me that the story/scope does not come close to BG2, So if that is the case, I pray, pray, pray, that there are people out there that can create add-ons with the toolsets that can rival BG2 spectacles. See, I think the look and feel of NWN is MUCH BETTER than BG2, but then that has to be implemented. I am going to see about getting those mods ASAP!! |
