No, there isn't. It is the biggest advantage BG2 introduced, IMHO.

the BG1 Ease-of-use mod contains an option to "max HP rolls on level-up"

also, for some reason you need to hold [ctrl] as well as hit 'L' for quickload

I think that the reason is obvious.
You quicksaved before a tough battle, and you want to make a normal save after you won it. Your finger slips and you press "L" instead of "O". Your vision darkens...
