I've done it the hard way for kicks before. On my last run through i imported a character and amazing. I now started with a level 7 paladin with tricked out gear. When I got to firewine I just let my paladin go alone, having made all other characters archers and i gave him Boots of Avoidence, and the Tower shield +1, +4 vs missle, along with girdle of piercing and his other regular magical gear. Well seeing as not 1 of the kolbolds hit him unless it was a critical, and hes a paladin with about 6 healing abilities he just waded through them.
