Definitely something more exotic I could understand. Personally, I have never installed shadowkeeper or done any clua cheats. I do have a D&D background, though. I could understand any intelligent party wanting to "know" their opponent, or at least researching what they are going up against in some fashion. It'd be cool to have some retired mage around Athkatla (or maybe even to have ol' Ribald) dispense general info from past adventures/conversations with adventurers. Maybe even for a small fee. I guess that interface was more than Black Isle wanted to get into. Of course, with all the books lying around, some of them could have some info.
"History of the Lich"
Now that would be cool.

Bingo. My PC should know, but for the often inaccurate/misleading battle text, the lack of desire to go wading through reams of said battle text and my own poor memory for such details, he doesn't know. And he's lookin' up with these big sad bhaalspawn eyes goin' "why dost thou forsake me?"

I have no desire to record information (which may even be incorrect) as i play. Has not someone already made a site or faq or something where i can get this information i need?

(And don't say SK! )

that'd be a lovely little mod - add someone to temple of oghma (sp?) in the docks maybe (the world's knowledge)

you could even have a cheese merchant somewhere . . .

Come on now... some general info wouldn't be cheesy. "History of the Lich" could just have a couple pointers or be written by an ex-adventurer who went toe-to-toe with one and came out alive. Maybe the mage in his party found some great spells to help, and maybe his "since misplaced" weapon was quite effective. I dunno, just thought it would be cool.

in the interests of the avoidance of doubt, i thought it was cool too and that was what i thought i was trying to say - sorry if you thought i was criticising it

the cheese merchant idea was a 'comedy' extension of it - stick some guy next to one of the empty market stalls, label him 'cheese merchant' but instead of cheese he sells advice on how to abuse project image and the like . . .

Oh, gotcha. I just thought maybe you were not impressed with the idea. Thanks for clarification.

Hey, the cheese merchant could ALSO sell......CHEESE! I've always wondered how cool it would be to have a menu at the Crooked Crane. I always seem to have some spare gold, and food sure would go good with a couple of Elminster's Choice Beers!
Wow, maybe I role-play too much.

Edit: hey, PM me on how to abuse project image!!! Never heard of that before!
