Nope. Shoulda mentioned that along with the fact I don't have P.I. In fact I have neither component of the P.I./wish=rest cheese. I wish. I really don't want to fight her a second time. . . erm... I mean I don't want to kill the first 2 incarnations all over again.

Forget Wish unless you want to be re-loading a bunch of times. With the exception of the must have knock down spells(Breach, Wharding Whip, Ruby Ray, Pierce Shield, and esp. Spell Strike) there are only 3 spells that will do damage to Melissan. Prismatic Spray, Energy Blades, and Black Blade of Disaster. Unless you are a fighter/mage I wouldn't bother with Black Blade. So that leaves you really with only 2 spells. Prismatic Spray will do 20 points of damage to her every time it is cast, nothing to write home about but it is effective. If you don't have the Firetooth, and or the Erinne sling for your mages then Energy Blades is a good alternative for a ranged weapon. Another tip when you get to the 1st platform after hurting Melissan, you can almost completely destroy those greater air elementals with Flame Arrow, they arent very deadly but it's nice to have then out of the way.

Well, I simply ended up pounding through her incarnations without resting. And no one died (well, too much anyway). I hit her with a bunch of PM's and one or two RRoRs and Khelbens. They helped a bit - at least it made her blade barrier go away sooner.
I think the Black Blade + Tensor's Transformation would make any mage good in the melee against her, but I just used my mages to keep Abi-Dalzim's up at all times vs. summons. |

Well I developed a fairly good tactic i must say. (well actually some else did buuut) I make all my fighters charge at Ammelyisan and my cleric and mages support em. Mellysian goes down pretty quickly well actually take a lil while but hey its the best tactic I can come up with
