Something wrong with my Shield of Balduran - Page 2

Klorox,

Is your character wearing the Cloak of Mirroring and carrying the Shield of Balduran? If so, try removing the Cloak and see how you go.

What's the difference between Beholderkin dying a few seconds after you enter their sight range, and Beholderkin dying a few seconds after you start beating on them? They still can't do crap to hurt you, unless you're fighting Tactics Beholders, in which case all you need is to be a half-decent Warrior with an Anti-Poison item.

This has happened on my girlfriend's PC, too. It's nothing to do with ToB and it's nothing to do with the cloak of mirroring, as I've seen it both reflect and NOT reflect within a space of about 1-2 days, on a character who wasn't wearing the cloak.

I don't know what causes it, but I agree that it's aggravating!

Educated guessing suggests that the 'bug' comes from not re-equipping the Shield after Reloading.

Well, it used to work for me, but doesn't anymore.

The only difference I can think of between the game where it worked and now was my installation of Easy Tutu. But I uninstalled that shortly after trying it out.

Unforunately not - re-equipping made no difference, and neither did various combinations of ensuring it WAS equipped during the reload and then NOT equipped during reload, then re-equipping, etc. I work in tech support and do a fair bit of this kind of thing... played for about 20 mins with it and couldn't seem to find a pattern. I'm sure there is one, it's just damn elusive!!
