If a high level barbarian and a high level beserker were to go toe to toe in a duel...

a Barbarian will always win vs a Berserker when both have a crappy AC
a Barbarian will always win vs a Berserker when the Beserker does not have the aid of the grandmastery patch
a Barbarian vs a Berserker, both dual wielding slashing weapons, with the grandmastery patch is too close to call, a draw
a Berserker with a powerful shield vs a Barbarian dual wielding an axe and the DoE is too close to call, a draw
a Berserker vs a Barbarian, both wielding powerful shields will result in Barbarian stew
a Berserker vs a Barbarian, both using 2-handed weapons is the 2nd course of Barbarian stew

OK, enough screwing around. We need to bring in some of our number crunchers in IW here for these events, courtesy of Zink. Im calling you out Six, and bring Weimer too!

The conclusions I drew in my post were from some number crunching I did way back which you can see in this thread.

They were worked out for very specific situations though (certain stats, levels, items etc) so they are certainly not absolutes! Six has also mentioned potions which tip the balance more in the favour of the Beserker. Potions Smotions!

BTW that sig is pure class Dalamar

What's the best armor a Barbarian can wear in this series? I'm talking AC, not any other bonuses (although they couldn't hurt!).

Right, and in ToB (you need that little imp guy). What about in SoA?

Is the Black Dragon Armor the best before spellhold? Is that Jester's Chain better than that one?

jester chain and shadow dragon armor are both same ACwise but shadow dragon gives acid resistance.

But best in SoA is crimson chain. [img]smile.gif[/img]
