Well, considering Drow Plate doesn't do much special, I'd say no big loss.

Besides, Drow love their items and part of the reason they don't go all-out to the surface is because they feel their equipment is superior and don't want to lose it. If they couldn't lose those items in the sun, they'd have conquered the surface long ago.

Spell Shield will negate any and all Anti-Magic Rays, and won't be cancelled by them.

I remember I had a bag of holding full of Drow Equipment...

Then I got to the surface...

The bag was brimming with adamentine dust and then I started doing my cartman impressions in a fit of rage.

Yeah, I think that sucks that you can't even keep them in you inventory, not even a bag! I think a mod should be made to make you be able to carry them in your packs and take them out at night.

I can't see the point. The only advantage Drow Armor and Weapons have is their AC Enchantment. There's no other enchantments, and other armor that does just as good a job with AC as Drow Equipment.

Drow Equipment is not cheesy unless you take it out of the underdark which is a remarkably cheesy thing to do. Drow equipment only becomes cheesy if you apply the cheese yourself.

Unless, of course, you count the +5% Magic Resistance and the +1 to Spellcasting speed (which I've yet to determine is an advantage or handicap on this item) on the 2 types of Adamantine Chain.
