As for potions the class can now use healing potions. But if you are going solo use them wisely or you may run out.

The whole point of the Wizard Slayer->Thief combination was to avoid (or absorb rather) physical damage and let magic bounce off him. His only primary weaknesses are elemental damage and slashing damage.

The WS->T however... was not designed to be a solo character, due to some of the necessary requirements.

hmmm??? maybe that's why it didn't work...well, i might try again...
MR before dualling was 10%. CoB adds 25%, Human Armor 20% and Carso 50% MR.
And Human Flesh Armor gets a really nice boost in TOB with Item Upgrade.

Spell failure doesn't work with ranged weapons (bows, throwing daggers, ...). At least in my fully patched game.

What I find amusing is that the spell failure cuts through Stoneskins. So... even though you're not hurting the Mage, he's ain't casting right either.

ADD] Btw, Leslie. Carsomyr is not additive, but sets MR. Your effective MR after the first swing would be 60%.

Yeah, I know that's how it was before Tactics Mod. Now Carso is weimerized.

[Tongue-In-Cheek]

Dude! This bunny is too tough to kill!

Okay, here's a bazooka to off it.

Now it's too easy!

Okay, now it's a 30 ft tall vorpal-teethed rodent of mass destruction with adamantium skin and blazing eyes of paralysation, no saves allowed.

Dudeeee!

[/Tongue-In-Cheek]

I'll stick to the original version of Carsomyr, tyvm. Besides, wielding Carsomyr robs you of the DoE.

"and had all together 105% MR"

How is it possible to have over 100% magic resistance? Does the magic bounce off and affect the caster? If you cast a spell on yourself it would be one continuous crash-the-game loop. Anyway, I thought WS's gained 1% MR per lvl, and the maxium lvl is 50.
