Yep, you can make a fighter/illusionist. I also strongly believe you can build a cleric/illusionist also. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the tip about the illusionist, just don't particularly like that specialty. I'm curious about the reasoning behind not being able to dual a monk to something (i.e. a mage). Anybody? I'm just finishing my first time through so have lots of silly questions.

Probably balance issues. A Monk/Mage would be too powerful. Also maybe it wouldn't fit the story. A Monk who has trained his whole life in unarmed combat, who can resist magic, turn into a magic user.

Alright, I buy that. Thanks. I didn't think a monk fit in all that well to begin with, but it's always been my favourite class to play.

3rd edition rules allows a monk/mage/X you're just restricted to 20-30 levels.
