Yes but to do all by yourself means just that.Even if you are soloing and if you summon then it is not the PC anymore.Trust me on this one.

OK what about solo kensais who are simply unamble to summon anything? Inquisitors?

'No single character can handle any(or every) situation...' it says more precisely. Why not? Traps are avoidable/shrug-off-able Mages/demi****es/demo******s are slayable.

Think about a Swiss Army Knife - solo F/M/T. Single character. Has the power to handle ANY situation (provided his level is high enough and player is rather intelligent). Any objections?

In this forum I have also heard about a soloist whose only 'summons' where insects from Insect Plague/Creeping Doom spell. Isn't it enough of a proof that a summon-less soloing is doable?

Shall we consider potions as not a part of your character and since forbidden?

Sure! I liked the story in the thread. Such deep RP (thats only my HO, don't throw rocks at me ) is pretty cool. That was one of the many things that made me RP my kensai...

Yes it is really a good story. Actually IW has some really good storywriters. Including myself-this is MY opinion.
