Since your romance has already started, it will continue.

Aerie: Honey? You... look different today.

ADD] Oh yeah, before I forget. Welcome back, Djinn and Lady Blue.

Now you have the party you want without messing up the NPC interaction that makes the game so interesting.
That's exactly what I've done sometimes, to get the best of both worlds, but be warned: If you hack an NPC's class, try to stay close to what they were originally: I once turned Jaheira into an Archer, and whenever she went into Stealth, she would say (every round, no less), "Der....Dermin? Is that YOU! It has been some time."

I can't imagine what she'd say if I turned her into a Thief and told her to Pickpocket somebody.

LOL! An insane Jaheira? That idea sounds... WICKED! Nice tidbit there, SixOfSpades, but if you pose that as a trivia question, I will kill you.

I have that exact same problem, with that exact same sound. "It is about time.It is about time.It is about time," over and over, until I click her again. "Speak your mind." Yoshimo does the exact same thing: "You require my counsel, yes?You require my counsel, yes?You require my counsel, yes?" ad infinitum. BO-ring.

Keldorn and Valygar have similar sound bugs, although their clips don't repeat forever, just once. Valygar is very helpful: He'll aid you if he can, he'll aid you if he can. One of Keldorn's battle cries is, "Good is on our side this day! Good is on our side this day!"

First time i went trough SoA I went trough with a non npc party. I created all the characters myself.
I had a Cavalier, a Monk, A Sorceror, I think I had another fighter and some spellcasters as well(its two years ago, dont remember)
Anyway I had allot fun with it but when I went trough the game with NPCs a couple of years later I now see all the fun I missed out. NPC interaction is IMO much more fun than wandering of alone as a solo sorceror or creating all chars yourself. Well try this, Make two or three chars yourself and have one or two npcs. Next time im going trough Ill have a total of five chars which will be evil me, korgan, viccy, edwin and valen. You could also create 5 chars of your own and then leave one open spot for npc interaction.

I've soloed a few times in BGII. Berserker/Mage, Sorceror, and now a Monk. the B/M is definately versatile and can be damn near invincible especially with the protections the rage gives against Confusion and such. Also with the B/M you're not defenseless once your spells are spent. Sorceror was pretty easy, but I was resting too much for my liking. I haven't gone very far with the Monk but it's definately a challenge. It's a hell of a lot of fun but a challenge none-the-less. If you don't like the idea of soloing because of the lack of NPC interactions do a duo. I'd recommend a Fighter or a Fighter-multi comboed with either Kelsey or Tashia for firepower and a romance. Those two are also loaded with dialogue. I did do a duo once with a female Fighter/Cleric and Kelsey and it was fast leveling, fun, and a good roleplay with a romance.
