Blessing of the Daystar (spoiler)

You don't actually need to kill the lich. Daystar is in a chest in the back of the room.

So simply use your protection from undead, then send in a thief or a mage with knock and pick the lock. Then leave.

Equip the sword on one of your fighers, walk back in, then use the 'special' ability of the daystar to blow him up [img]smile.gif[/img]

Cheesy but fun [img]smile.gif[/img]

Even easier: Haste a character. Run like hell to the chest, unluck and open and pause the game for each action. Grab the sword, Unpause and run like hell out of ther again. He will follow you so keep running like hell and exit the gates district. You can return later and kill him.

Actually, you don't even have to waste a Prot. from Undead scroll on him, Improved Invisibility will do. This particular lich doesn't have/use any True Sight capabilities!
