Shouldn't you be squeezing the Swashbuckler part for bonuses?

Having just worked my way through the game 2x, i'm looking for a new challenge and i like the idea of a party of 3, but how do you access the quests etc from the other characters, do you have them join for a short period and then get rid of them? or do you just do the main quests?

Thanks for you help

You can get the quests from the NPCs, and do them, without the NPC joining your party. Like, you can do de'Arnisse Keep without Nalia, Planar Prison-quest without Haer'Dalis, the Circus without Aerie....
Some of the NPC-quest requires the NPC, though, like the Book of Kaza, Harper Hold, Cernd's child, etc.

Indeed? Its actually a tad bit easier the smaller the party gets.

I went all the way through with just my pally, Imoen, and Viconia. It was fun, and actually easier. Didn't have to worry about protecting everyone.

Thanks for the Idea's guys, but i Really dispise Sorc, i would rather have a enchanter, sorc are needlessly slow and boring to play in the begining, just to have a sorc i would need NPC's just to keep me awake. I've desided to take out the elvin archer for the druid

Much to Butterfingers' chagrin I'm going with the summoner party idea.

I nerfed their combat stats (except constitution) to make it clear that they are not intended to fight (they have people for that sort of thing).

Now, do anyone have any suggestions, or does anyone know the address of the BG2 spell reference?

For newcomers to this thread the party is composed of a totemic druid, a skald and a conjurer.

**Shudders**

BTW, give your Skald a point in axes. Azuredge makes some fights a bit easier and there are some undead that will rip your low level summons to shreds at first. Nothing wrong with a little support.

Spirit Snakes can kill trolls. There is a patch some place that activates the Spirit Animals enchantment, allowing them to actually hit things. This is not a cheat. In PnP, they are highly enchanted. Try Sorcerers.net I think.

Try and get the Effreeti Bottle somehow, and, the Horn of Valhalla. Might as well really bring out the summons, and, a summonable spell caster is nice. The Berserker has his uses.

Also, make sure your Conjurer and Skald's wisdom is up to snuff. When summoning elementals, this will reduce the chance they go rogue.

DId you know you can cast Barkskin on your summons? It improves their saving throws and AC. It can make a difference in some fights.

Bless and Chant and Defensive Harmony should be quite nice when stacked with two Skald songs. As stated before, Mislead has a lovely singing voice, and, Skald song stacks!

Mordy Swords do SICK things when backed by Skald song. Try it, you will not be dissapointed. The utter cheese this is capable of boggles the mind.

Have fun!

I checked my manual for all buff spells that said "Target creature".

Hell, a completely unbuffed Mordie's Sword can do evil things.

Funny, I just had a feeling that I should make my skald good-aligned.
