I DID go to Windspear Hills, and IIRC did not wait for Whatsisname to return from the Order with word that they were not gonna kill me for mistakenly offing their disguised knights. Now it all makes sense. BTW, even tho I did manage to beat (kill) the attacking knights, my reputation remains 18, ie has not suffered , at least yet.
Thanks for the help !! This was a puzzler, as it had not come up on previous run-throughs.
