Really you only need two scrolls. Station one fighter at the door to keep any undead from getting out and let the other fighter wade in and destroy them. VERY IMPORTANT!!! --- Keep the rest of your party out of sight of the vamps, or they might get mind controlled. The scrolls should last long enough to take care of the undead in this section.

You can save some money and just use an invisible party member to block the door. That was how I defeated them. Wearing Helmet of Charm Protection and their ilk, my party barraged the vampires to death with missile fire and spells.
