"Oh sorry cal its just been so long since i have been in a forge that i was just reliving some memories of when i created this perfect throwing star. It had five blades that came out when a secret button was pressed and when you pressed another sleeping poison got secreted on the blades. Ah it was beutiful. Oh sorry, the two handed katanas are called naganachis, or horse breakers. Perfect for stopig charging horses; with the extra long reach you can normaly get to the rider before he gets you. I prefer them to polearms or spears becuase the tend to be quicker. If you are used to a longsword though it mght be difficult to switch to a naganachi but i can teach you if you like. Long swords are alot of thrusting and slashing while naganachis are mostly slashing." Dameon goes to the long swords. Dameon muttering to himself while he examines the blades. "Hum.....slightly larger long sword....." dameon picks up a long sword, and taps the metal with his finger with his ear close. "Nice ring to it.... could have gotten a few more taps with the larger hammer before moving on but still good. Balance a tiny bit off." He sets that sword down and picks up another stil muttering to himself. "umm perfect balance... good temper." Dameon test the edge "nice edge should stay along time... doesn't seem to have any enchantments on it. of course it is a little smaller then avergage." Dameon pulls out one of his short swords. The blade from the smith is about a foot shorter around 3ft 6 inches. He sheaths his blades. "cal i konw that you wanted one a little longer but with this one you be a little faster. i would suggest this one. It might seem plain with the cross guard not all fancy and with dragons but its simple and will work. None of the naganchis here are worth your time. No offense to you master smith your work is..... nice." Dameon moves over to the smiths hammer rack and picks up the largest hammer he has a 10 pds hammer. Dameon looks at it and sighs "Can i purchase this and a large whet stone. I can make minor repairs with the hammer i just wish you had a nice 25 pder. Then i could do repairs in short order." at the mention of a 25 pd hammer the smiths eyes almost pop outta his head. "What did i say something wrong?"

ic- Skye blinked with awe, then went over and thanked Alliene profusely for purchasing the weapon and other things for her. Alliene may not take too much to half-elves, but she wasn't cruel. She then walked over to Khalraan and smiled down at him. "Are you happy with the things you got? Perhaps you should thank Lady Alliene for being so kind. It's not often that you will meet a person who is willing to pay for such expensive gifts."

The smith ground his teeth a little and handed Dameon the 10 lb hammer,

"We dun make 25 pound hammers. Too heavy for humans to work with, you know," he handed him a whet stone, then bowed to Alliene, who was whispering with Verloren,

"Did you hear what he said? They take down horses Verloren! Horses!"

Verloren scowled, "I'll be sure to tan his hide if I ever see him harm a horse," her thoughts drifted to her war horse Wind Shadow and she sighed. She missed him, back in his pasture at the palace.

Alliene nodded her agreement and straightened, "Come on then everyone. Thank you for the lovely item's, my good sir," Alliene concentrated and started working a spell. Soon there was a sizable dimension door in front of them, leading into her rooms in the underground, "Everybody in," she said with a grin.

"since you don't approve of naganachis verloren how would you stop a company of charging horses? The other choice is polearms which are just as dangerous to the rider but it is even more dangerous to the horses. When in war if you are confronted with a calvary charge you bring your pikes to the front so that the calvary have a hard time getting through to your archers. With the naganachis they just replace the pikes. they are more effeciant at killing the horsemen and not the horses." Dameon says to a scowling veloren

Shadow looks at the dimension door, "Damn I hate these things."
He quickly steps through.

Calaethis glared at his cousin as soon as they were in private. "Alliene!" he said "You didn't even *get* a blade for me. I know that the smith gave Dameon a hammer, but... couldn't you have commissioned one for me? One we could have picked up in a couple of days time?" Calaethis made a face. "Also, my bracers... they could do with some repairing." Since Calaethis's bracers were custom made - he was an archer so he had wristguards incorporated into it and he was able to attach metal gloves to the bracers as well, so effectively his entire forearm was covered - he didn't want them falling into a state of disrepair.. Scowling at his cousin, he waited for a reply. Muttering he spoke irratedly. "And I thought a two handed katana was called a 'Daikatana', ah well; a Daikatana's too long anyway..." he smiled at his cousin, his mood changing. "I just wish you'd give me advanced warning before you pulled me away with that dimenion door thing of yours.. its... disconcerting."

Verloren's chest swelled and her eyes flashed red,

"Don't speak to me of how to conduct a war, fool man. I am a queen of a prosperous country, afterall," her red-eyed stare was defiant, "You never ever harm the horses. Why take down kill the horse first and then the man when it's just as easy to kill the man alone? You use magic. Paralyze the horses and shoot down the men with arrows, magic missiles, what have you," she snorted and turned on her heel, following Alliene, Avalon already waiting for her on the other side.

Alliene grinned at her cousin, "Do you think I would forget you, dear Calaethis?" she strode to her bed and reached under, fishing around with her arm until she pulled out a long plain leather box. Inside was a plain long sword, no special enchantments, and the blade was dull, the hilt, tassel, cross-guard all plain steel. She handed it to him, "Though it may not look it, this is an excellent blade. I can reforge it for you with the enchaments you would like quite easily. Notice the perfect weight and balance? This was the first sword I ever made. When I was about your age and not yet proficient in the ways of magic and spell-casting. Now I give it to you," she had a proud smile. She couldn't wait to teach him how to use it.

Theres was a sound in the hallway and Matron Streea walked in, taking in the whole company with her dark eyes, lingering on Skye as if trying to put a name to her, then Verloren and Avalon, whom she gave nods to. She eyed Dameon warily for a moment, then turned to Alliene,
"Hello daughter, I see you've taken my invitation for the house battle? Good, we are preparing for it and will be ready in a week. You, Avalon, and Zachana will be a great help," she looked at Skye again, then back to Alliene, "One of my surface scouts came to find a small drow child alone in the woods. Assuming some ungalant family had cast him out, he brought him back to me," her eyes turned to Skye again, "He described a half-elf kind that fits your discription almost perfectly. Is your name Skye? I believe he called himself Damian(ooc i know its spelled with an 'i' but i cant remember 'o' or 'a')," she coked her head as the dimension door closed behind the tall drow looking man.

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Calaethis smiled and knelt in front of his cousin and held the blade up in his palms. "my thanks dear cousin." he said gently. "I'll talk to you later on; in private."

This was before the Matron entered. Upon her arrival, Calaethis clung to the shadows and said nothing, not making any sort of eye contact.
