Cari wanders into the bar after a long day at school and straps on her apron. Settling herself at the counter, she waits for customers...and maybe a bard, if she's lucky.

Sensing the silver wolf who was also Tao had a powerful warding of her own, T'Lara surveyed the area she was to ward herself. Closing her eyes, she reached down within her soul, deeper still into the earth itself and pulled the strength and energy she needed upwards. She began intertwining tendrils of dampening all around the blighted area, careful to design connections for Tao's wardings.

This done, she began the work of closing the area to innocent passers-by. Glyphs, invisible to the common eye, hung in the air forming a lace of protection. In time, the webs would dissolve, but not before the blighted land had a chance to heal. Even the alchemist himself would not be able to break through Nature's own glyphs, though she was certain he would attempt.

A note left for Cari....

Dear Cari,

If you still desire to apprentice, please meet me at my cabin at the southern edge of town after school tomorrow. The terms are really quite simple and your learning will depend on how you apply yourself. You will be required to tend to herbs and plants (as well as animals ocassionally) in both their fresh and dried forms. Eventually you will learn the mixing of various salves and unguents. And if you show the aptitude and the tenacity, you will even not only learn spellwork, but develop your own spells with the aid of Nature and the gods.

I am not the strictest of task masters, but neither am I the least....all I require is your genuine attentions.

The wolf glared at a particular area of the blast.
She raised a front paw gently, then slammed it to the ground, releasing a rune stamp onto the edge of the blast. A very intangible but fairly invisible lacing grew from the ground, sealing off this particular 100 square foot area. No human or mage would ever tread this ground again. The rune stamp of FEHUwould bar any who tried to step there. The wolf was not sure what kind of magic had spilled here, but it would take a hundred years or more for the ground to heal from this scourge. The wolf shook its head sadly, and continued on, tying her wards to T'Lara's, and worked her way around the back.
