ic:khalraan smiled back confidently at skye, his small hand in Alliene's firm grip, he stared up at the half-drow, and saw her agreeing look at skye. Releasing his hand from hers, khalraan ran over to skye, and much to her astonishment, hugged her tightly.

Calaethis nodded at the Avalon, and shook his head to himself. He suddenly felt very rejected and almost like a servant. Being beckoned to follow. 'Bah!' He thought, then gracefully (as always) walked over to where Alliene and Lady Verloren were standing, and fell in line behind the two of them. He left 'Lord' Avalon to bring up the rear. He lightly placed one hand on his cousin's shoulder - (Alliene, LB, not his *grins* "1st cousin's") - and gently squeeshed it, until she turned around to see what he wanted. When she did; Calaethis smily held out his arms, and embraced; then whispered softly in her ear. "Cousin - forgive me for asking this, but, where can we find me a blade?" he avoided her eyes, and she could tell simply by the way he held himself, his bodylanguage and the manner in which he asked, as well as his tone, that he was avoiding asking her something. What was really on his mind had nothing to do with this 'shopping trip', and she well knew it. She could also see that he'd hugged her so the others couldn't hear what he was saying. He glanced up at her, his eyes distracted and serious.

***OOC lalala, something nice for you to come back for LB hehehe. Btw, what is the plot now? Are we still trying to send Natha home? Personally, I think he ought to stay in the inn rooms while Alliene and the others go shop - then he should be abducted, and we should have to rescue him. Imho of course I just feel like storming a drow city j.k, (about storming a city I mean ) anyway, give it somethought and get back to me, would you lb? (A)

edit a couple of points: number 1, before Someguy tries to post something funny, No-one BUT Alliene can hear Cal, hes whispering directly into her ear, and even elven senses cant detect it. (has a flashback to chapter 1, sir gollum, and stupid paladin features; doesnt want someguy doing the same... incidently, paladin face is now dead. hehe. )

number 2; Lb, I was thinking, when you said think of Alliene and Verloren as 1st sisters, (Off WOT) Alliene reminds me of Avhienda (or however its spelt; Im sure you know who I mean - the snappish Aiel one) and Verloren of Elyane. hehe. Also - just so you know, during the corse of this chapter and the next, I think I'm gonna upgrade my char slightly. providing Alliene, Verloren, or possibly Dameon will teach him - I'd like to give him, in BG Terms, a couple of lvl's in blademaster - increasing his sword profiency to "+++" insted of "++". Don't want to overpower him unlike some (*cough*someguy*cough*) Also might upgrade his archery slightly. Also to "+++". Depends. You know his "cleric/druid spells" LB? I'm gonna give him a couple more, something like: "Call lightning" and a couple of minor heal spells. Should be fun. (well, since he has the same blood running in his viens as Alliene, and she's very proficent in magic, and Cal already has an affinity for it - but since hes young it isnt that developed yet...) hmm, currently his stats are:

Calaethis is an elf, with black hair, fair skin and dark green eyes. incidently he needs a haircut... His chosen class is a ranger, his allignement NG. and he weilds a longsword, and a composite-longbow. His clothing is elven, and he favours tunics. Oh, and he has a suite of elven chain underneth his clothing that is magically enchanted. He also has chain breeches, again elven, that he wears underneth his regular clothing. The chain allows him to hide in the shadows without restrictions. Calaethis also wears a cloak of dark greens, which appears heavy, but in actual fact is extremely light, and doesnt hinder him in anyway, it also has a long hood, which can be tucked away. The cloak conseals Calaethis's bow and quiver.

Also, might be nice if Cal became "friends" with Khalraan, considering they're pratcially the same age. hehe, also might be nice if he became friends with Avalon Lb What do you think?
finally, now there are several players, I think I'm gonna post my replies in silver - makes it easier to distingish - this IS NOT something that should catch on, the rest of you are fine. Altho, I did think the purple you used in Chap 1 looked good Skydragrrl. And please someguy, speaking of chap 1, dont revert back to that eye burning blue... even tho your using white right now. ***

Khalraan is about the same age as Cal? [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img] I considered Skye to be about Cal's age, and Khalraan quite a bit younger... *confused* hm, will have to sort this issue out I guess... [img]smile.gif[/img]

ic- After getting over her initial shock, Skye couldn't help but hug the younger elf back with a smile.

ooc- actually Cal, i think Sir Goulum wanted to rejoin... [img]tongue.gif[/img] if my memory serves me right. LHEL, havin fun with font there? [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] i like the orange and the light blue coloured fonts you used the best. [img]smile.gif[/img]

ooc - Hmm, Cal's an addolescent elf - about 16/17 years or so in human terms - Khalraan is younger. not sure how old in human terms. Maybe 14, 15? just to ventrue a guess. hehe, yeah true Yeah, I guess Khalraan's behavouir IS that of a 12 - 14 yr old. Personally I think it'd be nice if you "mothered" his char a little, or played the role of an elder sister heh. Also, it'd keep him outa Alliene's hair, and give your char something to do . btw, Since Natha is "inactive" right now, do *you* think he should be kidnapped, then we can go rescue him? *edit, good God, my avatar! its horrible!*

Calth, I liked your views of Alliene/Aviendha and Verloren/Elayne, very neat, lol Post in silver if you would like, but when I do a post of Avalon w/out the women it will be in silver. And its Avalon, not 'the' Avalon [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Alliene raised a quizical eyebrow at her cousin and motioned the rest to move into the common room. She was glad Khalraan(hah spelled it right ) was in Skye's custody now; she really wasn't adept with children.

"How now (sorry had to use it lol)Calaethis. I know you know where the weapons shop is. What is bothering you?"

As for our next plot, I was considering a drow battle against House Streea(As you know, Alliene's mother, as well as a Matron, and 2nd house of Neverwinter) against the 1st ranking house. Recall back a few chapters when Binks was still posting Natha, and the party was getting ready to leave the drow city, and Matron Streea wished her daughter would stay and help them in the battle against the 1st house? It'll be great fun

ic:Khalraan followed the rest of the group into the common room, his hand held in skye's. Millions of thoughts were running through his head, but the most prominent one in his confused mind was 'now i have a mother'-for khalraan's mother had died in child-birth, and his father had beaten him to tears. Now his face shone with glee, and he tightened his grip, just slightly in skye's hand.

Calaethis made a face. "You always seem to know if I'm hiding something, don't you dear Aliene." He spoke gently and in soft tones of affection. He sighed. "Whats troubling me? Several things actually." He motioned they should sit down on the bed, and once seated he leant against his cousin, placing his head near her shoulder. When she'd put her arm around her, he spoke, his voice low. "I was thinking - what are we really doing here? So far, all this mysterious drow buisness - its insane. Why would *any* drow Matron waste so much time on someone like Natha, more over, why would they even arrange terms with us - no, you. You are the one they seem to fear - and yet, if this so-called Matron has so many resources at her disposal - why is she sending small groups? Why not an army? Yes, yes, I know small groups can move around undetected whilst a larger army cannot. It just seems they know our ever move - either their spy network is good, or we have a..." he didn't finish that line of thought. Alliene knew what he would have finished the sentace with (posted here for your convience [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) 'spy' or 'tratior'.*

He shook his head. "Maybe I'm just being paranoid. But that's not the only thing on my mind. I was wondering, if a Matron sent this drow - and since we don't know which one, we don't know if it's a major House, or a minor one. I was actually thinking, would it be possible for you to... how can I put this? 'Pull strings' with your Mother, and ask her to find out who's behind these attacks - I'm sure you could ask her without losing face - in fact, I think she'd be insulted at the petty insolence sent against you... ehr, where was I? Ah yes, maybe we should start assassinating the source of these attacks - I know its too absurd for words, but from where we stand, our so-called enemy must seem to think shes invincible - we know nothing about her, and she's constently in the shadows. If we cripled, either her, or her resources, or something close to her - it'd have a psychological effect - and she'd start going on the defensive - well, thats assuming she's rational, but then..." Calaethis smiled sweetly at his cousin, "If she was rational, she wouldn't have sent ammuters after you - or anyone at all." He paused. "Am I making any sense here?"

Calaethis was silent for several moments, but spoke before his cousin did, "I have several other things on my mind at the moment, some less important then others... but I was thinking of something that *is* important, my education, or lack of it at the moment. Really, I ought to be studying; warfare, magic, swordsmanship, and a whole list of others." he grinned at her, "In case you'd forgotten dear cousin, thanks to you, and several others in my family, I am an elven noble, however young. And well, I've been neglecting my studies." he smiled at her. "I was wondering... if you had any spare time... if you could... maybe, tutor me? So I don't miss out on too much?" he shook his head and muttered 'I don't believe I'm asking this - I actually want my cousin to tutor me?!. He grinned at his cousin and awaited her reply.

(OOC - * spy/tratior comment - not that I'm saying that any of you are - altho it WOULD be a nice twist if NATHA WAS a tratior and this was all an elobaret plot to lure Alliene into some Matron Mothers house. (obviously I've been reading too many books [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) It'd also explain why IF he was a tratior, he didn't slit Alliene's throat.

*edit, this is for that "how now" statement LB thats why its so long - and because I couldnt think of a topic that Cal would be upset about - so I stole a leaf out of your book. enjoy.

Oh also, tell me, DID you base Alliene on Avi? And Verloren on Elyane? oh btw, which book are you on now? [img]tongue.gif[/img] - oh almost forgot - hope your teeth are ok. 2 of em? ouch.
