Can't think of one - WAAAAAAHHH!!!!

let's just knock on the door and ask politely. If asked for the meaning of life, we say:

"Every rose has a thorn"
"Just like every night has a dawn"
"Just like every lone cowboy sings a sad sad song"

well, it worked in Bill & Ted didn't it?

Yes, it worked. But they had Death. We don't.

Ehr.. How about one of those puzzles where you have to open the box with the key that's inside?

argh!!! come on people, we can't open the door til we figure out what type of puzzle we are going to have to solve to open it... -_-

*imagining* all these angels, sitting around looking bored, while looking at a group of adventurers
1st adventurer- i think it should be with keys!
2nd adventurer- no, we should play life-size game of chess!!!!
3rd adventurer- well, i think we should have to go through an obstical (sp?) course!!!
*all three start fighting* 5 minutes later... *all three dead*
angel 1- *sigh* man, we don't have any fun anymore! they always kill themselves before the first challenge!
angel 2- well, guess we should go kill their companion...
angel 3- was he really guilty?
angel 2- nah, we just wanted to liven things up somemore. lets go
*angels leave, while the adventurers bodies are still twitching from recent death*
-_- sorry bout that, but seriously, thats what it sounds like at the moment... we havent done anything for practically 2 weeks!

Lol. ^_^ argh, i give up... ill pick something as the puzzle.
----
IC- (btw, this is continuing from that post i made sooo very long ago) As the harsh white light receeded back to its normal color, the adventurers looked about them in surprise. They were outside, in a very misty environment. In front of them was a crytaline(sp?) mountain, and at the top lay the gate.
"aaaah, not fair!" skye whined, staring up the tall mountainside.
As they approached, the dark mouths of 5 caves loomed out.
Lyulfe spoke... er, thought up. **This is obviously a test for us. we can either climb up the mountain in some way, or go through one of these caves to get to the top. Most likely we have to find some key item that will open the gates once we reach the top of the mountain. we should help eachother, because the angels probably wont let us continue until our whole group reaches the top together**
Everyone nodded in agreement. "Well, which way should we go? one of the 5 tunnels, or straight up?" Skye asked. "If we go straight up, we may not find the item. but if we go through the tunnels, we could easily become trapped or lost."
---
OOC- ha, finally we're starting up again! *evil laugh* ^__^ ok, anywayz... this sound ok to y'all?

Okay, I'll go with that one

Mazaker takes a leak against the side of the mountain. He drunk a fair bit, after all

"Right, you pussweeds! Who's scared of the dark?"

He lights a torch and wanders into one of the cave entrances for a look-see

OOC: Okay, I think the polymorph effects have worn off by now

IC: "I think we should split up and enter each of te caves. There's probably some mechansim forcing you to cooperate, like you pulling a switch in cave one so a door opens in cave three. Either that, or most of us will die from unseen monstrosities."
Legolas took the middle entrance.

OOC- hey, LS, do ya remember the name of the Bar that i first introduced my song dragon, Lyulfe, in? im looking for some of the info i posted, but i cant find the thread... ;-( argh! mind telling me, if you still remember?
---
IC- "I don't know if splitting up is such a good idea. How are we going to all reach the top, if we're not together? maybe the caverns are all linked together..." Skye asked.

OOC: A roleplaying board. I'd better make this rpglike, then!

IC: The party hear running footsteps coming from the second cavemouth - clanging, armourclad feet. Followed by voices.
"I think we've lost them, Holy-boy!"
"That's no reason to stop running, Karnas! They've got wings, after all!"
"And harps, but that doesn't worry me either..."

***

After a minute or so, a breathless man clad in tarnished, dented armour and holding a glowing golden sword emerge from the cave mouth at full pelt. The party exchange glances.
What are Tancred and Karnas doing here?
Tancred catches sight of the party - and comes to a dead stop.
"HEY! Holy-boy! Look who it is!"
"Ah, it's you! Small world, isn't it... or cynosure, or whatever." Tancred catches sight of Skye. "AH! Miss Skye. Had something given to me to pass on to you... got it here somewhere... aha! Here it is!"
Tancred holds out a silvery scroll bound in red leather bindings.
"There you go. Now, if you don't mind, I have to make tracks before I'm found here!"
"I think I hear wings, Holy-boy!"
"YIKES! Gotta go!"
Tancred begins running again, sprinting off into the distance. Skye opens and reads the scroll she was given.

"Dearest Skye, (it reads)

You will find the tale of the introduction of Lyulfe in The BG2 Bar 8 - Beersurection - currently on page 78 of the BG2 Forum, but that may change a few pages. Lyulfe first appears on page 10 of the Bar thread.

Hope this helps!"

As Skye reads, the words fade, and the parchment loses its' silver glow, becoming defiantly non-magical. No name is written on the scroll, but whoever it was must be very farsighted - or just damn clever.
