Cloudy, still holding her sides

In the meantime, Cheetah scribbling away furiously, making lists of topics to 'talk about' on our honeymoon.

Ooh, I can't wait!!

:Cheetah, dribbling copiously at the very thought...: Oops, I'd meant to keep that quiet til the knots were firmly tied.....

I leave for 24 hours, and there is more to respond to than my fingers can type! And a NC driver's license wedding to boot...lol.

Mike, I hope you're not serious about leaving. If you were serious, you've been gone long enough, you feel better now, and you're ready to take me to "task".

The above statement really bothers me, because Osama's not interested in changing western foreign policy. Do you believe he's concerned about the conditions of Palestinians or the occupation of Palestine? Do you believe he's concerned with US troops on holy ground because it offends his middle eastern brothers and presents a danger to them, or because it personally offends him and his extreme religious beliefs? During his stay in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Afghanistan he never used his vast wealth to help his fellow Muslems, many who were dying everyday from hunger. He used his money to bribe Taliban leaders (who don't think the money was enough now), to teach hate, to train killers, and to finance violence.

He says he does it for religious reasons, but scholars, and even radical Muslem governments, say he is acting against the beliefs of Islam in his actions. They all claim that his attacks on innocents, and his call for further attacks against innocents is in complete violation of Islam. What he does, he does for his self. You and other in this forum call for a change in Western policies, Osama calls for the death of America. It's not the same, and I can honestly see how that statement could be misinterperated.

Osama's interested in changing US middle eastern policy because it personally offends him, not for the greater good of his people, and he has always preferred using violence to achieve his goals. His desire is to establish what God "told" him should be in the middle east while causing the deaths of any who would oppose him, especially American's. Please don't lend any validity to his actions (which I know you denounce) or his efforts.

If you believe the statement I quoted to be true, then do you also believe...

"I do not support America's actions, but I support their effort in removing terrorism."

OK I think I have a bell for the knell, but I dropped it and it fell, oh hell, well I won't dwell... You'll just have to use instead the gong, or mayhap you'd rather take the bong?

Sorry, I'll keep quiet now while you sing that song.!

note to self: Remember to take earplugs and that handy skill where you can focus on anything and nod a "yes dear" at the same time...

Silver Cheetah rushes forwards, dress ripped and a smudge on her cheek, fresh from her exertions with the best man, and a couple of dudes she bumped into in the corridor....

Belching loudly (crate of wine might have been overdoing it - but desperate situations require desperate measures!) she looks around wildly for her groom, who she finally locates hiding behind a large yucca tree.....
