*strolls into the café, sits down with a smug look on his face*

Evenin' all!
After being pressured by my parents to get a job (in other words..them cutting off my cash income *wink*) I've got an interview. At a sports shop too, which is nice 'cause working in tracksuit bottoms and a poloshirt sounds so much comfier(is that a word? It doesn't look right..."more comfy" perhaps?) than working in a shirt/tie. Went to see the manager of another store (electronics one) and had a chat with him, filled in a form and they'll ring me if I get a placement.

Also, got about 50 CVs/letters to hand in to where-ever I want, so hopefully more job opportunities will come!

I'll probably hate working, but the money will be such a relief. Got £60 odd, not taking off tax (cause I can claim that back) for two shifts at Next (clothes/homewear shop). Plus my dad said he'd double it *grins a bit*

Goldfish rock! cats are nothing compared to the sheer awesomeness of goldfish!

Cats jump all over you
Goldfish Dont

Cats always demand attention
Goldfish dont

Cats cost lots for food/vaccinations/vet
Goldfish cost about $10 per year

see???

and Ivellis; good luck with the job hunting. Dont knock the shirt/tie guys - they probably get paid more, and it never hurts to have a professional image. On the other hand, working in a sports store you get to play with cool stuff all day, so for a holiday job (which i assume this is???) that is great.

PLus the super hot fitness chicks that come in asking you for help with their buns....

Well...I worked as a paperboy ( *beams* ) and I worked a few days at Next, but yes this'll be my first *real* job with a payslip and stuff *grin*

Nothing certain yet, have to have the interview but they are hiring so my chances are good (hopefully)!

On the subject of cats and goldfish LOL (hey I'm bored, indulge me this once LOL). I myself find cats easier to take care of than goldfish LOL. Of course depends on the care of the goldfish, if you don't care if it dies cause you can get another for like, one cent LOL, or if you strive to take care of it. Goldfish emanate ammonia so you have to constantly keep an eye on the PH and keep the tank clean, they crap a lot and they'd eat until they died if you feed em enough. The size of the tank depends a lot on how big a goldfish can get. Put one in, say, a 30 gallon tank, it could get easily to six inches long or more. They are dumb as rocks as well. In other words, no interesting "fish things or ways or maneuverings" to watch re a goldfish LOL. Not to say one can't get attached to a goldfish, I did mine for 10 years until my heater went bad (and when an aquarium heater goes bad, funny enough it doesn't die, but instead turns itself to 90 degrees, heh, fun stuff, and it does it out of nowhere too, doh!).

Ah fish LOL. And I still have my 55 goin, albeit with one fish left in it, a 13 year old Catfish LOL.

Again, I prefer my cat. I feed her, change her litter box, and she kinda does whatever on her own. I don't have to keep up with her entire environment as you do fish tanks. You are truly like a God when you have a fish tank, you control everything, pollution, temperature, PH, air, environment, etc.).

Hope your cold is a light one Luvian and won't be that big of a nuisance. Also hope you had an OK time at that amusement park, and it was amusing and not that cold.

Man, glad it is Friday! This week for me seemed to really just drag on, ugg.

I've learn something today. It's called "how to get the telecom company to fix your internet connection in 1 ~ 2 days"

Here's a tip for you all, if your internet connection went dead. Call lots of people, first call your local telecom company branch to file a complaint. After that call the telecom hq to file a complaint. Finally call any of their technicians that you know of and complaint about your problem, . Someone bound to move his arse to actually do something and fix your problem in 1 ~ 2 days.

If you just call the local telecom company branch, your problem will be solve in 3 ~ 4 days. If you call the telecom hq, 6 ~ 7 days. If you just call their technicians, nothing will be done at all.

Sheesh, what great timing to get the drain in the shower clogged, plumbers won't be available until after the weekend, which basically means i can't take a shower all weekend long, yuck. This is the second time in 6 months this happens btw, i figure he didn't do the job right the first time, which was also right before the weekend. Someone upthere must want me to smell a little funky in the weekends.

Johnny, perhaps an Ex girlfriend trying to stop you... um.. sowing and more wild oats???

Ladyzekke: Goldfish arent THAT hard to look after! cats you have to feed at least once a day, goldfish, maybe twice a week. yeah you have to clean their bowl (we just had a 10L bowl) but that is not hard, and it better than cleaning cat poo!

Goldfish are not dumb as rocks either - they just have 3 second memories, which is not overly conducive to them learning much, but hey, thats not their fault. At times i wish i had a 3 second memory - no worries about ANYTHING!!!

I know with like proper tanks you need to do a bit of work, but we just added algacide once in a while, cleaned the bowl when it got dirty and away you go - none of this pH rubbish.

Also, i never once had to remove goldfish hair from any of the furniture, nor did i ever have to dispose of dead birds/mice/rats/kiwis that my goldfish brought into the house.
