The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:
this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone
* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner * any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences) -a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately! * Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!) * do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it. Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course! The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by. |
Allow me to begin...

Following on from what Variol was saying, I have to say that I totally agree.
Been nice weather in good ol' England lately. Went to the pictures to see the Breakup with two (female) mates of mine, since we all had bugger all to do. Wasn't that bad of a film, funny in some places but not one I'd go and see again! Do you call the cinema "the pictures" anywhere else, or is it just an English thing? Or maybe even a north-east thing? |
Less than a month to schoolstart and I'm about to move out from my childhood home and for the first time living on my own! Getting worried about money... and other things like laundry and such thing I never done before! haha! I will never get through this alive! I can tell you that! :D Haha
/Bubbe - getting nervous :D |
What??? Three posts before Cloudy's mandatory two-post intro? What is this world coming to?
In any case, we call it going to the movies over here... not that it matters much. You could call it going to get your wallet emptied just as easily :D Lazy day here... rainy, wet, dreary... and the family's coming home tonight. They've been at my mother's for a couple of days... be good to see them. Best suggestion for you, bubbe... get down to the laundry area during a period of high activity and act stupid. Some well-meaning young lady will come over to help you out... either that, or she'll *REALLY* mess you up :D |
Bubble, learn my friend. Learn to keep the place tidy, cook, iron, launder, dust, vacuum... and even put the toilet seat down.
that way, all you need to do is get the girls into your place, and you are away! i guy that can cook and has a tidy place AND puts the toilet seat down is a keeper. Its the toilet seat that is the kicker. |

And my cooking... i just don't get it! she complains about that too! "aaaahh you always burn the food" "oh no I don't!" (My food taste delicious!!) People who doesn't know us maybe think we been married for 40 years!! Which is most unlikly because we both are 19 years old! At least now I can call her for help since I am moving closer to her town... before we was living 40 "mil" (400km) away from each other, now "only" 10 "mil" (I doesn't know the english word for "mil" which is 10km..) |
"Pictures" sounds more like what they used to call it. 'course I live in Nova Scotia where everybody lives in the past.
|
Beware, putting the toilet seat down can make you less of a man. :D
How's everyone doin? I myself am good as it seems I may be goin back to school this year and to play guitar no less :D |
If I leave the toilet seat up I get a time out in the corner.
I call it the movies. Bubbe just do a few things wrong even though you know it. And then maybe the GF will take over. I have done that in a few select area's.. One cutting the lawn. The wife thinks I have know clue on how to do it. |
