Now a big question is are you going old school? Cuz you can't outrule the classics Voltron, Thunder Cats, GO Bots, Transformers, GI JOE, RoboTech. Then you got the new ones. Three by three eyes, Gundam wing series, Vampire hunter D, Akira, Ghost in the shell, Sin was a good one, Zoids, Berserk, Guyver is sweet too it only came out with 12 episodes in english though. If you like cars then i definatly suggest Inital D; that is one of my fav. There are just to many good animes out there to suggest only a few but there are some ideas.

Yeah, I know about Ninja Scroll being graphic...I have seen trailers...a little unreal, I mean, there is no way a person can have so much blood, but nevermind...

I have also seen Ghost In The Shell, the film...wierd cliffhanger, but otherwise a good film...Neon Genesis Evangelion is good, but very very depressing...and very deep too...but not a happy ending...

I read some Manga (translated, obviously ) but mainly watch anime shows/movies.

Some of my favourites include; (in no particular order)

Neon Genesis Evangelion - One of the greatest anime series ever.
Castle of Cagliostro - Lupin III rocks!
Metropolis - Superb Sci-Fi/Technology anime
Dragonball Z - Addictive, cool characters
Slayers - Very funny
Ninja Scroll - Cool fighting scenes (and some girls )
Goku Midnight Eye - Great concept. Pity there were only 2 parts.
Cowboy Beebop - Only seen 1 episode, liked it a lot!

hentai?
well i "could" give you a detailed explanation about this topic but i would get banned in the process... so in short.. its a level above R18 and strictly for adults.. which is based on anime. im sure you can understand that.
