I'm a fan of a lot of different fantasy series, but the first one was of course Lord of the Rings. I tried to use Gandalf for an alias at different sites, but as you can imagine, it was normally taken. So I decided to use Gandalf's real name (see sig).

Gandalf is also mentioned in the Silmarillion in "Of the Maiar":

"Wisest of the Maiar was Olorin. He too dwelt in Lorien, but his ways took him often to the house of Nienna, and of her he learned pity and patience.
"Of Melian much is told in the Quenta Silmarillion. But of Olorin the tale does not speak; for though he loved the Elves, he walked among them unseen, or in form as one of them, and they did not know whence came the fair visions or the promptings of wisdom that he put into their hearts. In later days he was the friend of all the Children of Illuvatar, and took pity on their sorrows; and those who listened to him awoke from despair and put away the imaginations of darkness."

My name is pretty much what it sounds like. Actually, I've been using it for quite a while...I like the aleph part (first letter of the hebrew alphabet, and no, I"m not israeli, but i am jewish), and the master...well, it just sounded good.

"Brenn i helvete"...is norwegian and means "Burn in hell". Well I wasnt meant to have this nick, cuz when I was filling out the registration form I thought the name would show up as the nick. Then there was another name you would have to fill in and I was in bad mood or something and thats how brennihelvete showed up. I was meant to be "Skabb" which is some sort of dogdisease

My nick came from Curse of the Monkey Island -game. There's a pirate barberer called Haggis McMutton there and so I made up my nick from that.

I knew that sounded familiar. I couldn't quite place it.

Sever is the tag i have used since the days of Doom. Simple, effective and cool. I am surprised that i've never come across anyone else using it. It was inspired by my favourite Doom level designer Sverro Kvernmo (anyone got any idea on language/country of origin?) who made such awesome levels as Mephisto and Black Tower among others. Ahh, Nostalgia!

Welcome to the forum, Stratos.
Make sure you have read the sticky post.

BTW
He-Man: Masters of the Universe
Everyone who remembers the show should remember Stratos, He-Man's flying friend.
