http://myib.ikonboard.com/lennon/ikonboard.cgi

Basically, I am trying to create a unique roleplaying message board. Since every RP board out there seems to either
a) Use a ruleset which was designed for Pen and Paper roleplaying; such as AD&D.

or

b) Make trainers, editors, patches or modules for an existing computer game.

So, my idea was to create a NEW ruleset, as complete as AD&D.
Not easy.

Thus, I ask anyone who would like to see this happen and/or has ideas to add to the project; sign up and post in the appropriate place.

You may not consider this help, but oh well...
I think the first question you should ask yourself is why in the world would you want to create an entirely new ruleset? What need could you possibly cater for that isn't already fulfilled by D&D or any of the other roleplaying games around?
If you find an answer to that one, you will be well on your way - before that, I think it's pretty pointless except for serving your own recreational purposes.
So that the players of it have more say in what it involves. I`ll design it so that the base ruleset can be amended should the majority of players wish it.

LOL - but that's possible in AD&D as well
It even says so in the rulebook - if you don't want to use a certain rule, feel free to get rid of it. That's the way most DMs run their game, too - just a little touch of their own here and there.

LOL! There isn't As far as I know anyway...
But how would it be different just because it was directed at the Internet public? I mean, so far D&D does pretty well on the Internet. Which rules need changing to make them work better on the Net?
