Fully agree ... the only injustice there is, is that we will never be able to punish him according to what he did. He maimed, killed, injured and utterly destroyed so many lives, .. even if we'd torture him for the entire rest of his life it would probably be nothing compared to the pain he caused.
(Same thing with Saddam, though on larger scale)
If you're "man" enough to completely obliterate so many lives, you should be "man" enough to take the consequences.
Kicking him in the head is too friendly if you ask me,.. that's what really scares me .. that I can think of so many things to make him feel pain and still know that it wont be enough to have him repay his deeds.
People like that cant be brought to justice,.. the hell they brought goes above and beyond human means to punish justfully.

I don't feel sorry for the guy but the security of the ward being jeopardized was bad.

As well I would not kill him, that would be letting him off easy. He needs to give back to society working 14 or 15 hard hours at some heavy labour/day for every day of his life. Believe me after a while of working hard long hours like that for a several years I would only be to happy to have someone kick my brains in to end it.

As well I wouldn't be the one kicking his brains in. This is what Saddam does to prisoners and I like to think I am above that.

Lock him up and throw away the key. This guy looks like evil incarnate to me. Still, I wonder what made him do a thing like this...

Well.. since this is a debated topic that reaches over politicly boundaries.. and will be fiddled by typo's.. at leat from my part..
1. I will try to answer TL's question here..
I am against death penalty, but donīt you go feel all to secure aboutwhat "I" would do to any man accomlishing anything like that. What "I" in a sense of me feels and will act about is in no regard that I vote for.
And If you day, hwo and why can you do that bla bla bla... you ae talking agaist yourself..
Well you are right on the spot. I am merely one human being surviving in a field I donīt think is nieither suitable or preferable to em, but my mind and knowlegdge and upbringing gives another answer. Closer to naivity and utopia you canīt come, but befoer anything more is said, and in a very nicer way than it will will sound; I can distinguish my pure rage and anger between my cold rational brain. Can you?

2. To answer the question.
Of course it is wrong. No matter what we as humans think should be the penalty for such crualties, our only and last defense is as ever to be "better" thenhey are. A mentality to say that, no way, we donīt accept sit. The guy should have treatment. A life saved to make up for the lives lost.
In that regard my cruel naive nautre that seeks pain in the guy that deals pain is in conflict with the rational sense portraying millions of people. So where would we be if we all say that lets kill this one, but not others? How dare we take upon us the role to act for more people then ourselves i we canīt distance ourseves from our own satisfactions?
IN cusring a diseased mind, we would not only have conquered the deaths of innicesnts, but we would have given a perosna new life, a life saved. Too often are we, as am I, desclivning i on the personal array of dealing back whatever he gave.

But with the given lawsystem and the current prisons can we ever do what our "higher" conscious telss us is right?
Is prisons the right thing?
I mean, as we say the word prison, and what is meant with it, and what it is. Donīt you see the gods laughing at us?(Figurly speaking here, and if you have a problem, instead of solving it here, take to PM or MSN instead ayyyight?)

I never understood why people did things like that all over a minor thing like skin color. Who cares what color or race you are, hell, I wouldn't care if someone was purple But the guy definantly got what was going to him, normally that'd be a mean thing to say but after all the crap he's done he deserves to get the (bleep) knocked out of him. It's weird how the justice system works, a guy goes off and kills countless lives but they let it slide because he was "temporarily" insane... 5 times? It suprises me that they haven't given him the death penalty yet.

I'll bet you a Ģ10 note to a pinch of salt that the security of the ward was never jeopardized.

A pal of mine saw Jasmine Beckfords killer having an urn of boiling water poured over his head in Pentonville Gaol......no lack of security there either.

As Reeka said..what goes around comes around...the screws like to see justice too.

As Reeka said, what goes around comes around. If the law doesn't get you, the people you torment will.

It's neither good nor bad. People settle their scores in whatever fashions they feel suit the situation. On this occasion David Copeland got a beating, there will probably be plenty more in store for him. But that's what happens when you take it upon yourself to kill and maim, you make enemies.
