Nacht, didn't want to spam in the other post, but was going to say, having heard of the cat from Cloudy, I figured you would agree with me, hehe.
My kitty's on amoxici (forget it, i'm not spelling it all out ) because she's got a bladder infection. I feel accomplished because I have gotten good at giving her the pill on the first try. Especially this morning, when she wasn't fully awake yet. Boy was she mad. hehe

How's everyone this morning?
LOL...No worries. Congrats on getting your cat to take her pill. Amber was telling me what a chore it was for her to get one of her(now deceased ) cats to take it's meds. She said something about a gelatin pill...you'll have to ask her for the details, but she said that it made it TONS easier.

Erm...BTW...Sorry if I offended or upset you in that other thread. That wasn't my intention. I know that I kind of rub some people the wrong way at times. I tend to be a bit...erm...forceful in my opinions some days. If I did offend you, I'm honestly sorry.

Erm...the above post of mine goes for you too Timber. If I was OTT, I'm sorry. Just being my usual charming, whomp-you-over-the-head-with-a-club self.

Nope, not offended. You may have to leave a sacrifice for Choc, though, lol

Nacht, you mean like this? That's not called a "club" anymore. We've adopted the honorary title "Willow Stick."

Afternoon, all. I never visited that parakeet thread, so I haven't got a clue why anyone would be upset, but then that darned wolf topic degenerated, too.

heya, harley! I'm betting your kitty is on amoxycillin (aka the icky pink stuff if it's liquid or just amoxy). Anyway, Nacht is right, I have a method of pilling the cats that was born out of sheer frustration some years ago when my best friend's Tabby needed daily meds, several times a day for a heart problem.

Friends of mine recommended that I get empty capsules (gelatin capsule with nothing in it) and put the pills/parts of pills in them. Giving the cat the capsule with all 3 or more of his meds in it at once was a breeze! I couldn't believe how much LESS stressful the whole thing got! He didn't like it, but he didn't rip anyone's arm off when given meds, either! If the capsule is big, use some butter on it- it'll slip right down!

I think they were lily brand and I ordered them direct from a pharmacy. Larger capsules have smaller numbers, so 0 would be huge, while 2 is pretty small. They can show you at a pharmacy if you ask.

Ugh... the wolf topic. I barely remembered. That was like, what, just after I joined up. My first big flame-war, IIRC.
