Well.. I don't really want to keep ALL the information on D and E. So as soon as Windows XP is reinstalled, I will format D first, and then E, swapping files as I'm doing it so none of the important files will get lost. Thanks again!

In that case you'll want to go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management and then open up Disk Management in the LH side pane. At that point you can right click any partition or drive that shows up in the RH pane and choose format. This won't, however, allow you to format the boot partition.

If your hard drives came with install disks you might want to try one of them. Mine did, and when I format it all I do is put in the HD instal floppy and run the format option. It removes EVERYTHING from the system to the point where you have to redesignate all of your partitions and install basic drivers to continue useing the floppy drive. It completely bypasses the OS because you have to restart your comp with the disk in the drive for it to work. I dont get any of the usual start up messages from the comp. It just boots directly from the floppy.
