haha that video does look lame, but this is only one compared to the others ive seen, so im atleast going to try it. on the nero atlanta site it shows battles.. MUCH more interesting than that. i get to try it for free because of some offer or something.. so ive got nothing to lose. haha i keep watching that vid though and laughing at it. i guess diff locations get better battles and more people.

Edit: haha, look in the background. there is a garage with a basketball hoop.. and look at their costumes, thats a local one. NERO is nationwide, they have more than enough money to pay for good costumes and rent out a wooded state park for a weekend or more. Just because one local one is lame, doesnt mean the experienced ones are too

Hah! you think because a video of a game looks lame that makes the actual game lame? Try making a video of a table top game that is doesn't look lame. At least LARP'ers get up and do something when the play. I've been LARPING for a year now and I've found it to be probly the greatest roleplaying experience ive ever had. Where else can u run through dark woods being chased by something when all u can tell is its glowing eyes are coming after you! Where else can you charge an army of undead knowing that failure could mean your life, and actualy be there doing it!! Not sitting at a table, not sitting in front of a TV or Computer screen. I have brought many people to LARP, them thinking it was dumb and stupid, only to return craving more and more. I know plenty of people that would easily give up Table top, Video games, and computer to LARP. The reality of it is simply mind blowing and anyone to ignorant to at least try it is simply, in my opinion, extreamely lazy and self concious. So to all you out there who look at it and refer to it as something for geeks, I want you to stop and look at what you are doing right now (sitting at a computer reading posts on a message board about video games) and quit with your hippocritive judgements before you even attempt to try it. Am I saying Table top and video games and all other of the like (gaming of any sort) are for geeks? Sure and of course not. It all depends on what you think of yourself. For all those out there who would like to give Live Action Role Playing a try, well I'll tell you this.. Your in for one of the greatest experiences of your lives. You have to look beyond the foam swords, and seed packets and use your imagination (try it, its quite fun) to make it great, sadly movies and video clips cannot express what your imagination can. If your so opposed to the idea of role playing why play the video game or even post here? :shrug: people never cease to amaze me...
