De'Arnise Hold Money

I had an older game where I got paid 500 gp a week from Nalia or whoever for clearing out her castle. This time through I didn't get the money. I only got the reward she gives after you tell her that her father died. Does anyone know why I'm not getting the 500 per week?

You only get that if you claim it as your stronghold. For that, you need to be a Fighter, barbarian, or monk.

Is there a stronghold for a mage?

yes there is a stronghold for every class of character.

I won't spoil it for you but if you want, I could set you in the right direction.
