where can you get it????
also where do you get ring of wizardry

The Robe of the Good Archmagi is at Thalantyr's Stronghold in the High Hedge map.

There are two RoW's. One is an "easter egg" found outside the Friendly Arm Inn wall, on the south (front) side under a bluish pine tree. Coordinates = x=2552, y=3758, AR2300. The other one is obtained from the mage Sunin (after fighting him to get it) in the southwest section of BG city. Sunin's house is at the far west end of the street that the Seven Suns trading coster is on, next to an inn.

NOTE: If you have the patch, the ring near the Friendly Arm Inn is NOT there. I believe the programmers thought it was too powerful an item to have so early in the game and removed it. I don't know about TotSC, but I hear it's there then.

Yeah, that is true. Not sure if it is there with Tales unpatched, but I can tell you for sure that if you have Tales patched it is there.

sorry , exactly HOW do find the "easter egg" ring of wizardry?
i have put my character EXACTLY on the co-ordinates above but i still cannot find it

HELP PLEASE

(ps i do not have any sort of patch)

Im not sure, but i think that its like this:

BG without patch: its there
BG with patch: it isnt
TotSC, either patched or not: its there

I know for sure that its there with TotSC and the patch, but i havent tried other configurations.

Maybe an obvious answer?

Don't put your character on the co-ordinates. You won't see the hidden items. Run your cursor over the co-ordinates slowly and it should turn blue.

You've probably already tried this, but sometimes it's worth mentioning the obvious because (for me) it's the easiest to overlook.

The ring of wizardry isn't there with just plain BG installed. You need either TOTSC or some kind of patch.

i had a game with my person near friendly arm inn and THEN i installed totsc, do i need to start a new game for it to be there.

The ring at the FA (i think) was removed from later versions of the game itself.Dunno about the patches.I have both an old copy of bg and the newly released original saga and it is not in the latter copy.
