I upgraded my computer a month ago to AMD Athlon 1,53 GHZ XP1800+, 512 MB DDR ram, Geforce 4 128 DDR RAM Titanium 4200, new motherboard etc...

Well I started up BG2 with the best graphic settings and it worked all fine. Something which I cannot remember happened and I had to uninstall the game, thou before I did it I took a copy of my override folder (with the offical patch, Baldurash etc). Then I installed the game again and put the override folder back to the SOA folder. After that the game would run poorly until I did a quicksave. It would start to run poorly whenever I was done resting or entered a new area. A few weeks ago I had to format my HDD due to a Faulty RAM brick and reinstall Windows XP. I changed my faulty RAM brick with a new one and Installed BG II... I put the ovveride folder with the patch files and baldurash files and other mods within it and pasted it into the SoA folder...Now the performance is crappy and even a quicksave doesnt work.
Im suspecting that the override folder is causing the problem. Maybe I should delete all items within it and install the mods and patch again.
I hope that works but im not sure though...
Anyway I need some help with links...
Where can I find:
-Baldurash Files
-Weimer Mods
-XP Cap Remover
-Happy Party Script(lets you play with evil and good npcs in the same party)
-The Bonus Merchants
-Oh and since I formatted could somebody give me the link to the spell reference site as well?
Thanx in advance

EDIT Update: Deleting all Items in the override folder did not help at all...SoA Should run like a dream on my system even with all effects turned on...does anyone know what might cause the problem?

Look around in each section. They will have all the mods you will ever need (in my case anyway).

I can't give you any help on the links but...

Any time you upgrade your system to the extent you have, you should do a re format and re install immediately (perhaps you did, in which case ignore me) Windows optimizes for the Mobo and CPU upon installation and if you change either one of them, Windows becomes confused because it's looking for something that's no there.
The same can be pretty much said for all software, it optimizes for the Hardware configuration upon installation. This may seem basic, but you do have DMA active for all your drives right? DMA 5 for HDD and DMA 2 for optical drives.
I'd suggest starting from scratch, just keep your saved game folders.

Hmm, Yep that might be it. In fact I did install windows XP on another machine, and I guess its optimized to run on that machine...
Can I just reinstall windows? Or do I have to format everything?
Format everything will be like a pain in the ass because I got 20 GIGS of mp3 and stuff

I think you can maybe just re-install windows, I dunno. But if you haven't got a burner I recomend chucking your HDD in a friends machine with a burner and copy off all your mp3s. Then Fdisk and create a partition so you can store things on a logical drive whenever you need to format your primary HDD (or just get a second HDD). Also ALWAYS keep backups of patches and mods etc you download because there are always times you need to reinstall stuff and it saves downloading them again. I personally have 3 CDs full of mods, patches and apps like winamp, winzip etc (not counting mp3s) as backups for when I (frequently) reinstall windows

Question Mark

Two things I ran in to: My game got completely FUBAR'd once I let that extra female NPC in party, and when I ugraded my video driver to run Never winter. I got rid of her, and also reverted to my old driver, now its smoothe sailing.
