I am playing on multiplayer with my own characters. So when you load your game you have to activate your characters. A friend of mine told me you could mess with the files and get rid of it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or how to do it?

Im pressuming you're playing a single-player game in multi-player . .because that way you can make your own party. And your friend told you that there's a way to have your own created party play a single-player game, without having to play it in multiplayer. MP has some definite disadvantages, such as the pause-button responding very slow.
And yes, your friend was correct .. its possible to move your entire self-created party to a normal singleplayer game. Just start your multiplayer game again ( for the last time ), and save you game. Im not talking about Quiksave, I mean a real save. Now exit BG2. Go to your BG2 directory. Locate the folder named "mpsave", this is where your multiplayer saves are stored. (dont have BG2 installed on this comp., might also be mpsaves, or mpsavegames) Locate the folder "save" ( or saves or savegames, forgot ). If you cant locate this folder, its because there are no singleplayer savegames yet, in that case: Start up BG2 again, start a singleplayer-game, and save somewhere in Irenicus'dungeon. The "save" folder will now be present. Open -mpsave-, locate your multiplayer-savegame ---> copy ( right-click mouse and select copy) open -save-, right-click and select "paste". Your multiplayer savegame has now been copyed to your singleplayer savegame-folder. Proceed to start BG2 and load your singleplayer savegame Any questions because I was unclear ( very well possible ) Just reply [ 01-04-2003, 10:43 AM: Message edited by: daan ]

well that just about covers it, but I can confirm the folders ARE called
mpsave and save (I did this to get a thief in my party besides Jan or Yoshi, and I'm going to do it in my next game so I'm not stuck with stupid Keldorn)
