final battle help desperately needed!!

ok I am able to with much diffuculty kill the summoned demons and then slayer (irenicus) seemlying dies only to reappear into a form that I can 'barely injure' but can not seem to defeat!!! What gives with this form of irenicus? He just keeps healing over and over again.. that's really fair...I have reloaded over twenty times and do not have a f*****g clue as what in the hell could get to the cheatin sob I have done a search for this and didnt really come up with anything specific. pc a 13th level fighter minsc at 12 nalia at 13 imoen at 12 airie at 12 and jahiera at 12 is my party ... what spells are most effective at stopping jon irenicus from healing ... and what else might work... I tried turning into slayer after irenicus(slayer) had spent all his spells on my summoned fodder but didnt work either

It has been a while since I fought the non-Tactics Irenicus, so if my info is a little off, please forgive...

If he keeps casting protection from magical weapons, equip all of your fighters with non-magical weapons and attack - this worked wonders for my solo necromancer.

pschub, are you still fighting the Slayer form of Jon Irenicus? When in slayer form, there are two of them, but one of them is fake, an illusion. The real deal is a lot tougher.

Fortunately... you can abuse its' AI. Get a fast party member to attract its' attention while the rest of your party members equip ranged weapons and pelt from afar.

This is known as the chicken-run tactic. Just keep making JI run in circles until he dies from being an extreme pincushion. If you have any poisoned weapons, use them too, to negate his regeneration.
