Cerek, while you're in windows pressing Ctrl Alt Del will bring up a box with all things currently running, pressing it again will make it rboot.
I think he means press Ctrl Alt Del, then post here all programs that are running while the problem occurs, then people can determine of any programs are running which shouldn't be.

Thanks Talthyr. I see how it works now. I'll try that when I get home.
If that works, how do I capture a picture of the pop-up box?

Well, I'm not sure, I have vague suggestions, but a simpler way would be to merely write down all the running applications, as long as people are able to see them somehow.

Alt/printscreen usually works then open word and press ctrl v and it should show what you have on the screen. Then just copy it again or try ctrl v in a reply post here. Hope this makes sense or helps

That's a good point, I was thinking of printscreen, but then unless few enough programs were running, he would have to take more than one, which would take up more space than noting them down.
Also, I was thinking that he may not have any instant means of uploading, or a ranchoweb account, if he would need it to be able to link or post the images. [ 12-26-2002, 03:45 PM: Message edited by: Talthyr Malkaviel ]

Okie, Cerek nevermind what I just told you, this what you should do, I took this advice from LoA and it worked beautifully. Go out to your garage or where ever you keep a good hammer. Take that hammer, oh wait you have children, so thake the computer outside or into the garage and then cordgially (sp) start to pound the components out of the pos until you are laughing manically with glee. Not only does it release stress but you get the pleasure of looking at what you have just created, it will be a master piece. I shalacked mine and sold it on Ebay for 5 grand
![]() j/k heheh now hopefully your laughing a bit and thing's will seem a bit clearer. Computer's are to say the least a pain in the butt. Hope it works out for you |
