Sorry: got interrupted, As I was saying, SINCE the world is blaming the US for all the woes in the middle east, maybe we should start doing more about not only using our own resources, but actually mappingout what is actually there, I believe that there are quite a few LARGE deposits that no one is talking about because they want to keep them as reserve for when the rest of the world is sucking wind.

I agree completely. Far too many people underestimate the power of self-reliance. Not isolationism, mind you, but self-reliance--you need only examine the Oil Crisis of the late 1970s to see how dependence upon weak alliances can really cause serious problems.

TL, Your line of reasoning reminds me of my brother-in-law's, one of the most successful attorneys in the State of Alabama if not the southeast, and his logic for voting for Clinton. Trickle down economics doesn't work, he tried to argue using his best courtroom tactics. All was going well for his arguement, until this simple country boy pointed out that we were having this discusion in his brand new 10,000 sf multi-million dollar house. A house that took 2+ years to build, and during construction numerous carpenters, plumbers, electrcians, bricklayers, concrete men, landscapers were directly employeed and recieved pay checks. That's not to mention the the people that delivered the materials, supplies, or the people at the archtecual firm (you know the little people, secretaries, janitors etc. that didn't have to be layed-off because the firm received money for designing his house). The people that were employed at the factories that built the A/C,ovens, stoves, bricks, nails, wire, light switches, toliets, sinks, etc. Or the people that were employeed because all the carpenters, plumbers, electrcians, bricklayers, concrete men, landscapers, delivery people, secretaries, and janitors took the money they recieved and spent it on what they needed or wanted. Once somebody spends their dollars it becomes some one else's dollars to spend! There is only "X" number of dollars IF time were to stop! But in this world time marches on and money changes hands for goods or services.
OH, that stealth bomber you mentioned I believe it's called the B-2 and it is currently in service, why it even flies and drops bombs remember the embassy that was hit in Yugoslavia? The bomb was dropped by a B-2 with the wrong coordinates plugged into the bomb.
