I was trying to Conan Jonnie's Black Dragon in Suldanesselar (had a few traps set as well) when I sent in Keldorn to delay the vile beast He was wielding the Silver Sword; guess what happened.. The dragon didn't even touch me, and it was dead I laughed my ass off there Teehee!

Only the Improved Dragons, IIRC.

The 'normal' Dragons were certainly not immuned to my Monk's KO fists.

Dunno actually.. It was kinda cheesy, so I guess I'll fight him again, kill him properly I am passed my XP cap anyway, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal

Question Mark

MAN, all these people and all their "easy drogan killing"... Why can't I ever do anything like that!!! LoL, it is really irritating me!
So, which dragons would be the improved dragons???

The ones in the tactics mod:

http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~weimer/bgate/tactics.html

One of the components improves all the dragons in the game. Makes them more intelligent and makes the game fairer (for them). Be warned though, the improved illych component of that mod is perhaps the toughest battle in any mod yet designed, so you might not want to install it.

Toughest battle with respect to the Player's level, you mean.

I found the Improved Ilyich MOD very fun - it is a great tactical challenge which requires non-trivial thinking.

Is there any other measure of difficulty thats relevant to the player?

Non-trivial is right. Im taking a solo sorc through it on insane now. Havent managed to kill a single shadow thief yet. May have to drop the difficulty but Ill give it a few more goes. It would help if the thieves didnt have the ability to kill me in one shot. Damned wands. And they can use them even when paniced!

What i meant was that the Improved Ilyich Mod is not 'the toughest battle in any mod yet designed', as you said.
For example, the Improved Twisted Rune is a much tougher fight - but you have the "luxury" of conforting them when it's convenient to you.
With Ilyich and Co., that's not a option.
Well the thief/mages only have one direct damage wand, which is cone of cold. And that can easily be evaded by just running from it. For a sorcerer I thought the Irenicus dungeon was rather easy, stoneskin rendered all melee-only foes pretty much harmless and one or two rests worth of skull traps took care of Iliych and his party in an instant.
Doing it with a fighter is a *tad* more difficult. When my solo Inquisitor took on his Iliych I had to separate him from the rest of his band by running to the centre room and closing the door just after Iliych got in. It STILL took me almost two hours and countless reloads to beat him with Hit'n'Run tactics while preserving enough potions to take out his remaining four allies.
