Guys, guys. It's so easy to explain. The ballot slip probably looked something like this:

Do you want our dearly beloved, all powerful, wise, prescient, benevolent, yada yada yada leader Saddam to be your President for the next 20 years? Please choose one response:

a. Yes
b. Yes



Seriously, when I heard on the news that they were going to conduct the poll, and that at the last poll the vote was 99.96% in favour, I said to myself, "I won't be surprised if he gets 100% this time".

So why am I not surprised?

The only thing that boggles me is the so-called 100% voter turn out. In a voting population of 11 mil plus, you mean to tell me that every Ahmad, Ali and Bakar went? Seems kinda unbelievable to me.

I just put it down to propaganda. Plus fiddling with the statistics.
