I've received a few queries in e-mail regarding this, so I wanted to make the announcement public so as to avoid any confusion.

A few weeks ago, I made a decision to leave General Discussions as a moderator. This is a self-imposed retirement, mainly because of all the stress I've been dealing with and my work schedule, etc. All the mods have been totally supportive of my decision. I am still retaining moderatorship of several gaming forums, which will give me more time to devote to them (which is what I do best anyway. )

I do *not* plan to disappear from General Discussions (although I'll probably be here a lot less). I also wanted to make it clear that my decision is completely personal, and does not reflect on anyone here. You guys have been great, and I have enjoyed working with all of you.

Ziroc, Memnoch, and Mouse: I salute you, my friends, and wish you the best in continuing to run General Discussions. You have a fine crew to lead you into Escape Gaming.

You will more than likely be able to find me in the BG forums, Wizards & Warriors, and Wizardry 8, which I will be able to keep a much better eye on now.

Thank all of you once again for being great members. It's been a memorable year-and-a-half for me.

Respectfully,

Paris Soulier (Sazerac)

Say it ain't so Saz

You were one of the best mods I've seen in the buisness Sazerac, I for one thank you for all the hard work you've put into this place, I hope you'll continue to pop in here once in a while like you say but even if you don't your memory will not be forgotton I'll wager.

Well, adios from The Sig

I didn't even notice it until now...
But you were a great GenCon moderator, Saz. Showed a lot of patience and courage over the time you were a moderator of this forum, sometimes harsh, but always fair. We will miss you as a mod on this forum, but I'm glad to hear we won't have to miss you as a member. Thanks for the hard work and the many contributions to making this one of the friendliest larger boards on the web.

I will miss seeing your AX of DOOM (grin) and I do hope to see your cute face poke in here once in a while.

Enjoy Saz, you deserve a well earned rest. You are one of the best mods I have seen. You are a good man.

Don't forget to check my humor posts - or I will have to post the MULLETS site... truly a frightening thing. Some hair styles should be allowed to die.

Do what you have to do Saz Life is too short to be too stressed out.

I hate to see you go, Saz. Even though we disagreed at times, you truly were fair to everyone at all times and I have a great deal of respect for your personally.

I also have one of the coolest sigs on the board, thanks to you.

Take care and I hope to see you around from time to time.

Dear Paris, as you hopefully know by now I think you were a fabulous moderator here. Grojlach summarised exactly the regard in which you are held.
Though I'm sad to see you go as a mod, I congratulate you on the decision you made and welcome you as a normal member to General Discussion.
I hope the fun will start to far outweigh the stress again. Enjoy it!!
Thank you for all your work to make IW a fun place to be.

*hugs*
Mel
