This is actually one reason why I can't stand the Final Fantasy games (and basically any Japanese imitations of Western fantasy stuff) -- Engrish names for the characters and places etc. Either you hire some Westerners to do the job, or you jolly well do a game about Medieval Japan. Only the French can do authentic French cuisine -- or someone who has studied under a French chef for several years. Don't try faking something that's not part of your tradition, or you'll just make a joke of yourself.

Final Fantasy X has none of that stuff. It has American people doing the voice overs and everything is translated completely with no Engrish....Maby you tried one of the earlier FF's.
