My two cents for what it is worth. Being one who came from a very troubled home, and couldn't appreciate the value of an education, and who made a royal mess of his life before he straightened himself out. Being an ole fogie, I'll say that "hindsight" is a very cruel misstress. When we are younger we often take so many things for granted and don't see the importance of mundane things like this. As you get older that ornery mistress shows you how much you wish you could go back and do over again, even if you did it well, you might see that you could have done it even better and had better results that would one day affect your life in ways that you couldn't see when you were young.
It is as you say, only three hours and not a full day. And you would still have the majority of the day to yourself for your own enjoyment. |

at least 9/10 of the stuff we 'learned' in school i had already researched on my own, and had known anyways, or had figured it out. 3 hours is a waste of time that could be spent doing things that are more productive, like seeing how many jelly beans you can eat before you pass out.
