I thought of trying out the Final Fantasy series.. Any advice? - Page 4

I think that movies all right actualy, but then I have weird taste in movies. Dosent actualy have *anything* to do with *any* FF game though, its just the same title. The FF brand was probably brought in in order to sell the film to fans.

Just go get the best game, FF6 and play that. If you dont like 16 bit 320*200 graphics (actualy its TV res which i cant quite remember) then get second best FF7.

i was just wondering how many people here have beaten the any of the super bosses in the final fantasy games? (i.e ruby weapon, emerald weapon, ultima weapon(ff7or8), omega weapon, etc...)

In FFVII I beat all the weapons in FFVIII I beat both the Ultima and Omega weapons. The Omega weapon was hard you needed to use hero potions that made you invincible to beat it. In FF9 I never beat the big hidden boss because my damn brother wiped off my memory card before I'd beaten it the git.

Each game is independant of all the others. "Final Fantasy" refers to the last drama/crisis/catastrophe that each world has. Given this, the movie fits into the theme perfectly !!

the only other problem with the movie fitting with the series is it has none of the trade mark things like chocobos and moogles. and was there a guy called cid?

Its got an airship, a guy called Cid (or Sid in the movie), chocobos, Biggs and Wedge, Weapons that you can fight for heaps of rare items.. anyone has any more continuities between the series?

At least one sword-wielding character. [img]tongue.gif[/img] And the main character has a habit of being male.... Both magic, technology and medieval weapons together, the strong technology is always evil.(Shinra in FF7 for example.)

At least one character with odd or exceptional hair(Cloud, Faris, Cecil.... Got any others?). Cid is often the guy that has/makes/repairs the airship.
