Is Warcraft III A Sort Of 'Command And Conquer' Game, Like The Ummmm... 'Command And Conquer' Series?
You mean you have not played any of the Blizzard RTS games? Woah... ...

Like C&C, it is a RTS game at heart, but with RPG elements. The game revolves around a hero that you build( and whom can level up to a maximum of level 10, gaining abilities and stats), and support with units. It is not about hoarding, but large guerilla strikes.

I love this game! ^.^

Hey, I say get Morrowind. Its an insanely detailed game, very fun, and best of all, you do whatever the hell you want. You really don't have to beat the game, and if you wanted, you could choose not to fight anyone! Its really good, and like i said, very detailed. You can make your own potions with Ingredients, find Indredients in the wild, (like pearls from clams, or mushrooms from outside). Make your own enchanted weapons n armor, different weapons n armor types (like dwemer/dwarven, ebony, steel, Iron etc). A really good game. It also comes with a toolset where you can make your own races, classes, birthsigns, areas, etc.

Yep, Warcraft II is definately no C&C clone, I wouldn't go so far as to consider it guerilla warfare, just standard RTS combat on a smaller scale, although I do not mean that negatively. Zooming in the camera in the heat of a battle is simply breathtaking. The use of heroes also chanes the gameplay dramatically. In multiplayer while it is possible to play without a hero, once an opponent fields a high-level hero with his attacking force, you're effectively doomed. Warcraft III all the way!

EDIT: I must warn you that the story and plot is rather lame.
