So I was poking around the web and found these two articles about U.S. soldiers trying to blow some stuff up. I knew that my news was censored a bunch but with all the terrorism stink, and especially the recent brouhaha (ha ha ha) about Jose Padilla, the dirty bomber dude, I would have thought that I would have read something about this. I was curious to know if any people from other countries had heard about these two incidents.

number one: A soldier steals 300 sticks of explosives for some reason.

http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/l...al/3520601.htm

number two: A soldier is caught leaving a power plant after rigging it with explosives.

I'm scared. Anybody else?

Evil thrives where we least expect it.
Don't waste good energy being frightened and paranoid, just do your best to do your best and never let the worst in people surprise you...it can come from anywhere at anytime...its just a fact of life.
*hugs*

Thanks for the comforting words Moni.
It's not so much these people that I'm afraid of. It's the media. I know I can do little that would change the thoughts of people such as these (the soldiers that is) but I still want to hear about it.

You don't get out much do you DeSoya? Hell weekend warriors have been steeling explosives for ages. I grew up in rural pennsylvania and there are many farmers who would rather purchase "hot" C4 than get permission and licenses for Dynamite for stump removal....Military stuff disappearing from the inventory is no big story...yeah 300lbs of stuff can do a lot of damage...but it isn't revolutionary news. Some rednecks justlike to make big explosions out in the woods Some of us are pyromaniacs

Thieves and firebugs are no new concept unfortunately. The fact that explosives were left unsecured is what bothers me.

Forgot to mention, the only people who are censoring our media are the corporate execs who want promote their (mostly) liberal agenda. The days of reporting the news is long long gone, now it is all political and social engineering that goes on.....or I might be too cynical
I would disagree with you on this point. Strongly. 90% of world media is owned by 5 people. None of them are at all liberal or progressive or even interested in the well being of humanity.

Saying anymore I'm afraid would start a quick devolution into the same sort of verbal fistfight we entered the last time we argued.
In light of this I'll just clam up.
awww now dont be like that we can disagree and have a meaningful discussion without fearing for our lives And as an example of what I was talking about..Ill say one name....Ted Turner........there are few more liberal people in all the world

If I recall correctly our last discussion ended civily...I gave you the links to the info I had and things were cool.....except for the VI vs EMACS thing but I can let an EMACS person live....it took months of therapy but I can let them live

I hadn't heard about those soldiers over here...UK is pretty boring lately. Anyway, the most avidly read newspaper over here is the Sun, which would put an impending Apocalypse on page 79 AFTER news about an old celeb "coming out" or something like that.
